The coordinator of the plan realization is the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation. A working expert group is organized for discussing this topic in the Ministry. The biofuel production and the domestic Russian market are developing. The last 2010 was both successful and unlucky year for the young biofuel Russian industry. While speaking about figures and biofuel branch by itself it is necessary to stress that according to different statistics the pellet production is increased in Russia in 2010 compare to 2009. Arnold Dale, the vise-pesident of Ekman and Co: "The Vyborgskaya cellulose 1 Mton Pellet plant is on scedule".
The massive pellet plant of 1 000 000 t/y close to city of Vyborg in the very west of Russia (Sovetsky in Leningrad Region) is on track to start production late August 2010. The plant is a part of the pulp and paper mill Vyborgskaya Cellulose. Industrial pellets will be the main product and 49 years leases for round food of 1 million cubic meters a year will secure the supply of rawmaterial. Read more
